Melbourne Fashion Week kicked off on Monday 4th September at Melbourne Town Hall with David Jones showcasing their Spring/Summer 17-18 collections. Swimwear collections were the first to be featured with Jets, Stella Mc Cartney and Zimmerman bringing vibrant reds, black, paisleys, beautiful florals and nudes. Low plunging necklines and high waisted sports style briefs and bikini tops are the look for Summer.

Melbourne Fashion Week this year had 70 percent of the designer's from Victoria, mainly from Melbourne. Student runways were also featured with the emphasis being on giving our local designers an opportunity to showcase their talents and connect with a large fashion audience at home.

Melbourne Town Hall was the place to be for those wanting to discover the latest seasonal looks. We took along Melbourne fashion photographer Jay Saya to capture the runway!
