    December Q&A

Source: Sarah Laidlaw

Sarah is one of the most sought after talents in the beauty industry.  She is the Beauty Director for Priceline and moves effortlessly between commercial and editorial work which can been seen in the pages and covers of Grazia Italia, Harpers Bazaar, Laud, Wish, Instyle and Rolling Stone magazine to name just a few.  Her trademark look of classic beauty with an editorial edge is sought out by the beau monde of Australia.

Q1: Who, what or where is so hot right now?I don't often care about whoever or whatever is hot right now...my taste is usually a little off centre.

Q2: Finish this sentence, "I am always ready to wear..."A ballgown.  Always looking for an excuse.

Q3: Bruises, blisters and bad hair cuts - have you suffered for fashion? If so, state the injury.  Was it worth it? Oh, so many!!  Killer heels, being stabbed by a rogue corset bone, bleeding hair follicles from too tight Brandi braids..and yes, it's ALWAYS worth it.

Q4: What is your favourite fashion moment on film?  Christina Aguilera's music video for Fighter...the Priscilla Queen of the Desert bus rooftop silver sail moment, the entire Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette and Disney's Cinderella.

Q5: Do you remember the first time you felt fashionable? How old were you? What were you wearing? I was around 6 years old and I somehow talked my Dad into buying me high heels.  They were blue wedges and I was totally loving myself in them.

Q6: Who would beat you in a walk-off?  Haha!!  Anyone.

Q7: Have you ever committed a crime of fashion?  What was it?  Were you guilty or not guilty?  Hmmm, I think that anything that is in fashion ends up being a fashion crime in hindsight.  Like the bubble skirt I wore in the 80's.

Q8: What is the one thing that you never leave home without?  My house key.

Q9: "Sweatpants are a sign of defeat." Do you agree or disagree?  Agreeee.  I don't own them.  I refuse!

Q10: If your fairy godmother could grant you one wish, what would it be?  That I could attend the Met Gala wearing a spectacular couture gown with my closest friends.
