Autumn/Winter Trends To Tap Into Now

The change in season ushers more than just crisp mornings and cooler nights - it brings with it a slew of new shapes, shades and statement trends to inject into your cold weather wardrobe. Ahead, some of the biggest trends we’re tapping into when the temperature drops…

The Sock Boot

This footwear trend is a favourite of the street-style set, and with so many options at so many price points, this one’s easy to step into. Whether you opt for skin-tight neoprene or more structural leather, the silhouette strikes the perfect balance between sultry and edgy. Team with cropped denim or a calf-grazing skirt for maximum impact.

Rigid, Anti-Fit Denim

Gone are the days of stretchy, paper-thin denim that bags and sags after one too many wears. This season sees the continued resurgence of vintage, ‘anti-fit’ denim - denim that’s heavy, structural and tough enough to stand the test of time. Choose classic washes - think blues and stone grey - for that true vintage vibe without having to spend weekends digging through thrift stores.

Maximalist Outerwear

While black, grey and camel coats will always have their place, it’s time to shake things up in the outerwear department. Block coloured coats and embellished toppers were a firm favourite on show-goers at Fashion Month - choose a saturated hue that makes you smile, and don’t look back.

Embroidered Everything

Equal parts artisanal and bohemian, statement embroidered elements are popping up on everything from denim and jackets to boots and bags. Go big with a pair of embroidered mom jeans, or choose a tonal embroidered accessory for a more subtle approach.

Statement Shirting 2.0

With cooler weather comes an unfortunate truth - all those off-the-shoulder tops you accumulated over summer are now not so practical. Refresh your fashion palette with deconstructed shirting that relies on interesting details and quiet flourishes. A flared cuff, balloon sleeve or split elbow feels fresh, considered and seasonally appropriate.
