Miro Door has been a prominent and important part of the Fashion and Events industry in Australia and Internationally since 2007. We are giving you the opportunity join us for VAMFF 2017. We aim to provide volunteers with an exciting and meaningful experience. Miro Door; provides volunteers for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, LA Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, Runway Weekend, MADE Sydney and other one of Fashion events such as Witchery and THE ICONIC runway shows. Spanning over 19 jam packed days the Virgin Australia Melbourne Festival Festival in March 2017 is set to be bigger and better. We are in search of 2-3 people to jump on board as Assistants to the Volunteer Manager. With several hundred volunteers working tirelessly through out the event we need a strong team to assist and guide these volunteers through the event.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This application is to become an assistant to Volunteer Manager at VAMFF 2018.
As an assistant to a Volunteer Manager you will be required to work closely with the Volunteer Manager during and in the days leading up to the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. Your duties will include
- signing in and out of Volunteers
- communicating with FOH and BOH managers, Stylists and Event Producers to make sure all needs are met.
- documenting volunteers performance throughout the festival
- communicating with others on the managerial team.
REQUIREMENTS
You have to be available and 100% committed to do this to apply. Please be considerate and responsible when applying!!
Details:
Availability: To be considered for this position you must be available all day between 4th - 10th March, with the possibility of several dates through early and late March
Location: Various locations across Melbourne, main week in the Museum Precinct.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
An understanding of Excel spreadsheets is required. Strong communication skills along with a desire to work in a large team environment is also necessary.
While experience in fashion is not necessary for this position, managerial experience or experience working in a senior role in a large team environment would be preferable. A general interest in seeing people grow and thrive in their chosen industry would also be an attribute to the chosen applicants.
